"Pro-Life means More than you Think"
Carol Wright will be speaking on Monday, November 7th at 7:00pm in the parish center. She has been active in the pro-life movement for 39 years. She was President of Illinois Citizens for Life for five years and currently is their Publicity Director. Carol also served on all levels of the Council of Catholic Women. She served twice on the Diocesan Board, and is currently serving on the Western DuPage Kendall Deanery Board (and for the past 29 years). At the parish level, she is involved with the Catholic Council of Women, and is the Pro-Life Coordinator at St. James the Apostle in Glen Ellyn. This November she will be married 50 years to Dan, and has eight children, all married, and thirty-two grandchildren, all living in the Chicago area.
Carol will help us explore how our traditional values and the teachings of the Catholic Church are under attack. From the new regulations that will require us to pay for free birth control for everyone to the inevitable rationing of health care at the end of life. Human embryos are being destroyed in a futile effort to find cures that are already taking place with ethical adult stem cells. Our hope is that people become informed and involved. We cannot be afraid to stand up for the Truth. Only then can we share the true gospel teachings and live as God intended. We, our children and grandchildren deserve no less!
